Today, I acknowleged and thanked the Heritage Acres Farm Museum for their work on the incredible victory garden this year. Nearly 1,100 pounds of potatoes and 1...80 pounds of carrots were harvested, which will go to the Pincher Creek and District Food Centre. I also thanked the various associations and businesses that donated over 1,500 pounds of hamburger and the residents of Pincher Creek who grew an extra row in their gardens to donate as well. Taking care of each other is what Albertans do.

From our Victory Garden Harvest on Sept 5th, one of our volunteers dug up a potato we call Charlie. It weighs in at 1.2 pounds. Tomorrow we drop off the first bags of potatoes and carrots to the Pincher Creek Food Bank. Thanks to all the volunteers who worked so hard this summer to make this happen.
