Another ED position, wow! Big CONGRATS to Dana on her retirement! We have loved working with her and REACH over the past few years. We wish Dana much relaxation and happiness in retirement, and we wish REACH a smooth transition and luck with their hiring process!
Great job opportunity!
Have you filled out the City of Regina's Community Safety and Well-being survey yet? The deadline has been extended to April 16. Get in there now! PLUS they just launched a new online activity -- an interactive map -- to learn more about spaces that provide residents with a sense of safety and well-being in Regina, and it's SUPER FUN to use! Residents are invited to identify specific locations within Regina that bring them enjoyment and to describe what makes these places fe...el particularly safe and welcoming. Drop one or more pins on a virtual map of Regina and leave comments about that location. Another option is to provide specific suggestions to help improve safety or access to a needed program or service in a location. These suggestions may relate to creating a space for youth, improving street lighting, resolving noise issues, or removing other barriers that prevent people from experiencing positive well-being. https://beheard.regina.ca/community-safety
Thanks Regina Leader-Post for this great article on the future Heritage Neighbourhood Centre!
City of Regina wants to hear from you, whether you ride transit or not! If you don't, it's important that they know why you don't and what might make transit a better option for you. If you do, they've got lots of questions about how to improve your experience.
Flu Shot & Covid Testing Clinics!
The Province wants your input on their forthcoming Accessibility Legislation! "In the 2019 Speech from the Throne, government announced that new legislation will be introduced aimed at removing and preventing accessibility barriers for people with disabilities. The new legislation will look at the design of public spaces, information and communications (which includes customer service standards), service animal certification, public sector procurement, public sector employment and public transportation."
Great, free learning opportunity!

This winter, our free mini pantries are helping to keep bellies full AND bodies warm! We’ve received some generous donations to help us do just that. This Rubbermaid FULL of beautiful hand-knit warmth care is from Evelyn Sundet and her daughters Terri and Joanne. And the wool insoles were lovingly made by Bert and Meaghan Linklater to help keep feet warm. Thank you so much!!
Irene facilitated cooking classes with us at Thomson Community School for many years. Our condolences are with her family, friends and co-workers. In addition to important lessons in nutrition and cooking, her strictness with the kids about hand-washing and hygiene is a lesson that is surely serving many former participants and their families well right now. <3
UPDATE: Gabe was found! Help Gabe find his way home! Last seen on 2000-block St. John. Check your shed or garage. Contact the numbers in the poster if you find him.
Free online class from the Regina Public Library!
