Here’s a crazy fact: you can never replace enamel, no matter what all those dental products out there claim. Enamel doesn’t have living cells, so if you damage it, that damage is permanent. You want to be careful to protect your teeth against highly acidic food and drinks, high sugar diets, soft drinks, acid reflux, and certain medications. In the market for a new toothbrush? Look for one that’s small enough to reach into all of the crevices of your teeth, especially those pesky molars. A lot of people think that adults need big brushes, but actually, you should look for a small or medium-sized brush so you can really get into all those little nooks and crannies!
