Believed to have been built in built prior to 1904, the High River Law Office is a perfect example of a small legal practice in the early 1900s. Alexander Y. McCorquodale arrived in High River in 1908 and began practicing in 1909. He occupied this building until around 1949. Lawyers enjoyed great status within their town's social sphere in the early west - more so than doctors or ranchers!
