OOF Today I feel overwhelmed and defeated. I am the biggest critic of my work. I see so many faults with these BUT I have to let it sink in that my daughter wore them on an outing today, they worked, she had fun in them so I'll be over here trying to deal with my judgment. However I'm coming down on myself like a ton of bricks with the navy blue ones I made for my son. They are the most perfect I've made in terms of the main shoe, however the sole and the extra width around h...is foot is not working. It doesn't help that the sole is super curly from being rolled up for months. I've already started cutting out pieces to make another pair . This time I'm going to try the turned in method where you don't see the stitches attaching to the sole. I'm hoping that it will have a more polished look. Anyone else disappointed with their handiwork today ?

TOO MANY? How many clips is too many? Asking for a friend . Last stage of my daughter's shoes. The outer grippy sole has been glued and now needs to sit and allow the glue to cure.... My son's blue pair will also be getting glued today. Tomorrow I'll be able to show you both completed pairs. I can't wait.

SHOEMAKING Is back in full swing. This was my son's pair from last year that will hopefully be my daughter's pair next year. I bought a great pattern last year by @fluff.store.patterns and yes they are fiddly and I always make mistakes I have so much fun making them and enjoy seeing my kids wear them.... I'm finally mentally ready to tackle them after a year. What are you mentally preparing for today?
