We are called to a task unfinished! As we explore Acts 29 this Sunday, may our deepest prayer be for the advancement of the kingdom, by the Spirit, through the church!
Today is Reformation Day 2020. We praise God for men like Martin Luther who boldly held fast to the truth of Scripture despite opposition. "Let us equip ourselves to be knowledgeable proclaimers and defenders of biblical truth." May we follow the example of the Bereans in Acts 17, "examining the Scriptures daily". https://www.ligonier.org/bl/what-reformation-day-all-about/
Introducing our weekly playlist, HBC Weekly Tunes! This playlist will feature the songs we plan to sing each week at the top of the playlist and songs from previous weeks below it! What can sustain us in uncertain times? Holding fast to the word of God and resting in His steadfast love.
What a beautiful start to our service yesterday! We are blessed by the many musicians that lead us wonderfully in song. Joyful music leads us sunward in the triumph song of life!
HBC Remembers Lest We Forget This morning we were led in remembrance by Pastor Brian for the many citizens involved in armed conflict in our nations past, as well as many of our family members. This sign recalls the many members of our church that have fought, along with many that are not listed. Psalm 46:10: Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
Be sure to read Acts 21:17 - 22:29 before this Sunday's service! See you Sunday!
Looking forward to our members' meeting at 6:00pm tonight, via Zoom. The meeting link will be sent to your email before the meeting.

What a blessing to once again gather around the Lord’s Table and sing together as a church at Heritage College and Seminary! We trust you were blessed by this time together, despite the cold-ish weather! For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteousness, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. (1 Pet 3:18)
A huge thank you to Mark for introducing us to this wonderful song that reminds us to take courage even in the darkest points of life. So put your hope in God alone. Take courage in His power to save. Completely and forever won by Christ emerging from the grave.
We are so grateful to Heritage College and Seminary for allowing us to meet on their lawn to have a communion/praise service yesterday. We had 2 services in succession in order to meet the Health Department Guidelines - our first service had 82 people and our second service 59! It was wonderful to be able to distance properly yet be together to share the Lord's Supper and worship our Lord by singing together. We have been meeting in person (in our own building) since June and would love to have you join us. Simply send an email to [email protected] and we'll schedule you in!
Take some time this weekend to read over our sermon text for this Sunday! Be sure to register, if you haven’t yet, for one of our in-person services as well as for our communion service! Our live-streamed service begins at 11:00 AM on our YouTube channel.
If you are not able to gather with us today, here is the link to our live stream at 11am! https://youtu.be/U83FMmVZ_co
What a night we had last night at our Jr High kickoff for the 2020/21 school year! If you know of any Grade 6-8 students who would love two hours of games, community, biblical teaching and laughter, be sure to tell them about Jr High at HBC! @ Hespeler Baptist Church
Hey Church Fam - if you’re planning on coming to our outdoor gathering this Sunday and haven’t signed up yet, please do so! We are totally prepared to have two gatherings if needed, so please don’t hold back if you want to be there. Seriously, gathering to sing and have the Lord’s Supper is too important to hold back from! We’re close to the 100 people threshold, and we’d like to know soon if we’re going from one gathering to two. We are seriously looking forward to this! https://www.eventbrite.com/e/outdoor-communion-service-augu
If as a Christian you are deeply discouraged - and feel ill-equipped - when it comes to speaking to others about our Lord Jesus in our culture, we hope and pray this will compel and prepare you to do so. If you are not a Christian, have searched desperately for soul-satisfying meaning and purpose, but been left sorely wanting, why not have a listen? You might be surprised to discover how much in common we have with the ancient Athenians, and that what was proclaimed to them is what our ears are longing to hear. https://youtu.be/w1HmGIvES2Y
Our camp staff are hitting the road, again, on Monday for Creativity Week!
