I am reading a book about creating the life you REALLY want. In the book it asks you to describe the ESSENCE of what you want. For example, if you wanted more money, it helps you explore exactly WHY you would want more money. Then the book helps you to find the real feeling you are attaching to the want. It has all these exercises which I normally skip because I'm impatient, but this one I did...What came up for me as my highest value right now is CONTENTMENT. I thought this ...was interesting because if I hadn't done the exercise, I'm not sure I would have been conscious that this was my underlining desire...I didn't make the correlation that I wanted more money to relieve some debt burden (opposite of burden is contentment, ) that I wanted to be more in nature because it calms me (calm is another word for contentment.) In Ayurveda, my dosha is predominately Vata and I have found that when I follow a diet that helps balance my dosha, my life, and my digestive system thank me...I love almonds and I love the benefits I get from eating them and nuts are known as Vata-pacifiers so yeah give me more!..... Soaking (for a couple of hours) and then peeling the almonds makes them easier to digest and helps to remove some of the tannins found in the skin. Also, almond skins can also be quite aggravating to the Pitta types out there. Apparently I am a little late to the whole Christmas tree decorating this year ! No matter what store I went to I could not find ornament hangy things (what are they actually called ) anywhere.
