The key to working from home effectively and creatively for myself is organization! I know, who would've thought?? As someone that is part organized chaos and part Control Freak, it's often overwhelming (and time-consuming) to pause and organize. But a little time goes a long way! I did a massive overhaul on my entire at-home office, and it felt amazing, BUT something was still missing. That's when I took to my desktop for an overhaul. I designed a super simple yet on bra...nd background for both my desktops (iMac and Macbook) and updated my folders and app icons to be colour coordinated and more aesthetically pleasing. The entire thing on both computers took me less than 30 minutes and I'm so happy with the results! I can't even begin to tell you how much more peaceful I feel and how inspired with my new layout I am! It's tough being creative when we're stuck in the same space at home working, but this little change gave me the needed jumpstart I needed to get those creative juices flowing again! I am a HUGE fan of efficiency! From workflow systems and automations to reading a book while on the spin bike, I always look for a way to accomplish my tasks as effectively as possible. // As a business owner, I'm busy enough as it is and I don't want my OR my clients valuable time wasted // One of my big tips for efficiency is listening to podcasts or taking meetings when you are out for a walk. As long as you don't need to take notes, it allows you for a much needed break from your desk, some fresh air, and a big mental break while still working. I normally listen different business podcasts (like the @goaldiggerpodcast ) and also love to throw a little true crime (@canadiantruecrimepod ) in there to take a full on break from the hustle.
