Burial Archive I and II were made after photographing myself holding snapshots taken during a portion of my past lost to my memory. I then buried my film negatives underground for periods ranging between one week to one month. This was done as an act of acknowledgment, and of consent to relinquish them to natural decay. After unearthing them, gelatin silver prints were made in the dark room directly from the damaged negatives.
