Maddie will continue to teach with us this November! If you haven't checked out one of ther classes, come on by to drop-in on Tuesday from 830-930pm :) This 60-minute class is accessible to both beginning and intermediate students alike. Drawing from classical Ashtanga and Hatha yoga practices the class will incorporate holding of poses as well as options to flow available for students who enjoy more heat with their practice. Movement will be guided by a focus on breath, crea...ting space to slow down from your busy lives and reconnect with yourselves. If you are new to this evening class arrive 15 minutes early to sign our waiver and get settled in. The class is a $10 fee that can be paid in cash upon arrival or via e-transfer. There are 10 spots available at this location and therefore you can reserve a space by messaging me via Instagram or Facebook on the Sunday or Monday prior to Tuesday class. What to bring: Bring a water bottle. Feel free to bring your own mat, although there are mats, props, and blankets available for use at the studio. Join Damien for 60 minutes of Bikram-style Yoga practiced in a heated room on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays! All Bikram Yoga classes are Pay What You Can with a $5 suggested donation Payment can be made to the studio in advance of the class or upon arrival. ... E-transfers accepted at [email protected]. Drop-ins always welcome! No registration required. If you have any injuries, are pregnant, have high blood pressure, or have any cardiac conditions, please consult with Damien before practicing. About Damien: A close friend first introduced Damien to Bikram yoga in the spring of 2008, when a studio opened in Kitchener-Waterloo. He immediately fell in love with this yoga and has been practising consistently ever since. He completed his teacher training a year later in the fall of 2009. After years of competitive sports and suffering with the resulting injuries, Damien was initially drawn to the healing properties of the practice. Damien now practices more for the mental and emotional stability that comes naturally with a consistent, precise and intense practice. Damien spends a good portion of his time thinking and talking about bodies, how they move and how when used mindfully with good posture they function optimally. Damien teaches with an effort to bring a calming energy to his classes and hopes to convey that in spite of the series being physical demanding. There is a meditative side that comes with control of the breath and stillness of the mind. Favourite pose: Triangle Pose Favourite quote: Continuous effort and endless relaxation are the twin attainments (of asana, in particular, or yoga in general).

This class offers a great deal of variety, drawing on many different disciplines of yoga and fitness. A major focus in this class is building core strength to help posture and alignment, as well as helping participants to explore their own physical and mental limits to make the practice their own. This all levels class is challenging, but it is in the challenge that we learn to relax the mind and deal with stress more effectively.
