Some pets become irritable when they have dental problems! It's always better to prevent dental problems from occurring in the future through the utilization of annual dental exams! If you notice any changes in your pet’s behavior, this may mean that something is causing discomfort and it may be time to schedule your pet's next visit with us!
Trimming your dogs nails play a vital role in maintaining your dogs health! Neglected nails not only drive you up the wall with their continuous clicking across the floor, but can also cause health problems in your dog.

Do you have a reclining chair? Young puppies and kittens love to run under and hide in reclining chairs. Kittens are especially likely to climb up inside the chair and curl up for a nap, so be sure to check where your pet is before reclining!
Proper nutrition is key to a healthy pet! Feeding your pet the right amount, and type, of food will help them maintain a healthy weight! Call us today if you have any questions about your pet's diet!

Halton Hills Veterinary Clinic COVID-19 update HHVC staff hope all our clients and patients are staying safe during this time. We have implemented some changes at the clinic to keep our clients, patients, and staff safe. We remain open and continue to practice. As per the governments directive, we will be enforcing social distancing.... Please review the changes that have been implemented to do our part to prevent the spread of COVID 19 virus and continue to care for our patients. 1. Essential appointments are available for patients that require immediate and urgent care. We are admitting patients from the car/parking lot to reduce the amount of traffic in and out of the clinic. Please call the clinic upon arrival 905-873-1855. 2. Call ahead for food and medication. Since there may be longer wait times from our supplier to fill these items, expect a possible 5-7 day wait time on some items. We are doing our best to get food and medication to you as soon as possible. 3. We are asking that clients do not order more than a 2 month supply of food or medication to help reduce the strain on our suppliers which potentially could lead to longer wait times and reduced supply. 4. When possible we are asking clients to pay over the phone for food and medication. When arriving at the clinic to pick up these items please call from the parking lot and the items will be brought outside. 5. We have implemented a screening process when booking appointments and ask owners to refrain from coming to the clinic if they have been travelling in the last 2 weeks, been in contact with anyone who has travelled, have a cough and/or fever, or been in contact with anyone who has a cough and/or fever. Please respect the screening process. **if a patient requires medical attention and you have travelled or are experiencing these symptoms, please arrange for a family member or friend to facilitate your pet(s) receiving veterinary care** 6. We are utilizing telemedicine (email, phone calls) when applicable for certain cases. Please contact the clinic for us to determine if this is the appropriate way for our veterinarians to evaluate your pets health concern. 7. We have adjusted our disinfectant and biosecurity protocols to ensure areas of the hospital are cleaned frequently to reduce possible contamination and transmission of the virus. Please remember that these changes have been made to keep our clients and staff safe and healthy. We cannot help our patients if we do not provide a safe work place. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate contacting the clinic - we are here for you and your furry family members! Thank you from all our staff and appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this difficult time in the world.
