A fun experiment learning at home with fresh farm eggs. These brown eggs were coloured using only natural ingredients. We left most of the eggs in the dye way too long so colours may be lighter with less time. Instructions: Can use emptied egg shells or hard boil the eggs before soaking in dyed water. The emptied shells were a pain to keep under the water so coloring may be inconsistent if that matters ... Beets, cabbage and used coffee grinds. Boil ingredients for about 30 minutes in water and add an ounce of vinegar. Submerge egg until you achieve the desired colour. Turmeric and paprika you need to mix into water and add a dash of vinegar. No Boiling! May I repeat...NO boiling! Submerge egg until you see desired colour. Add elastic bands or stickers if you want some funky designs
