H7 low beams need Q24 spacer adapters. The OEM H7 uses an H4 power plug which puts the connectors too far apart to directly plug the H7 LED connector into it. The connector has to be cut off and new female spade connectors need to be installed. This slows down the upgrade installation but there is no other way of doing it. The rubber boot is also for H4 bulbs and the inner circle opening has to be trimmed by 1 cm in length for the LED bulbs to lock in the headlight. High beam 9005's install just like any other bulb - twist, turn, connect the power cable. Fogs need to have the wheel well liner moved for easy access to the fog lamps. Just 2 snap tabs have to be removed to get in. S1D LED kits is also a direct plug-n-play install. No error codes, no anti-flicker devices were needed. Daytime running lights are the low beams and they operate at full 12V. Install time - 1.5hrs

9007 Nissan DRL/Low beam Problem - SOLVED PROBLEM Nissan uses reverse polarity for daytime running lights (DRL) and regular polarity for low beams, which means LED kits not capable of operating in reverse polarity will only work in DRL or in low beam, but not both. To make the problem even more challenging, Nissan drops the DRL operating voltage to 6V, so unless the LED kit is capable of running at 6V the lights won't even come on. ... SOLUTION HVC's 9007 V10P LED bulbs are capable of operating at the reduced 6V DRL voltage, and they are also NOT polarity sensitive, which means they will work with + and - swapped from side to side. The only access to the bulbs is through the wheel wells. Dust caps are so shallow that using any LED kit with a fan is impossible unless you get deeper rubber dust caps. The bulb holes in the headlights are not in the center of the dust cap holes, making it even worse if you're trying to install LEDs with fans. Anyways, it takes about 1.5-1.75 hrs to install the low, high, and fogs, including LED alignment. The G10 or Z3 LED series are the best for this job because they fit under the shallow dust caps. Anti-flicker canbus decoders are NOT needed with the G10 or Z3 LED kits.

LED ALIGNMENT IN A PROJECTOR HEADLIGHT. Should LEDs be aligned vertically (left and right sides) or horizontally (top and bottom) in a projector headlight? After installing LEDs in a projector headlight, and inspecting the light pattern, we found that vertical alignment created a shadow which stretched from the center of the projector dome directly down to 6 o'clock position. Logically the shadow created a spot with no light. When we aligned the LEDs horizontally, the shadow ...disappeared and the whole bottom half of the projector was lit, hence there was more light on the road. The horizontal alignment may not hold true for ALL projector headlights, so test the pattern and see what is best for your vehicle. For example, a 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander had a much better light pattern with LEDs aligned vertically. The photos were taken from about 12 inches away from the headlight, that is why in the horizontal alignment you see a second light pattern above the main light. At a distance, the light from the LED bulb merged into a perfectly focused light with a nice strong hot spot in the middle.

Installation notes: Super easy install. The windshield washer fluid reservoir on the passenger side needs to be moved to gain easier access to the back of the headlight. Rubber boots have to be trimmed by 1cm to allow for the LED bulbs to lock in the headlight. Other than that it is straight forward. H4 factory headlight connectors plug directly into the LED's H4 connector. Anti-flicker canbus decoders are not needed.

You have to slide your whole hand inside the headlight opening to reach the bulb. To unlock the bulb, hold the retaining clip and rotate the bulb counterclockwise. When installing the LED with the new adapter, first lock in the headlight and then while pushing toward the front of the headlight with substantial force, rotate the bulb so the LED bulb's power wire is directly at 6 o'clock. This aligns the LEDs vertically. We've tried aligning the LEDs horizontally in the headlight, but the vertical alignment yielded a much better light pattern from this projector headlight.

LED Bulb Alignment Instructions. Quite often as I drive and look into my rearview mirror I see LEDs misaligned in the headlights. Poor LED alignment results in a bad light and unhappy drivers. There are two possibilities for bad alignment - one, LED bulbs are not adjustable which is the case with many cheaper LED kits, and two, LED bulb alignment was not checked and adjusted.... Below are six DIY steps to successfully adjusting your LEDs for the best possible reflective light.

Installation notes: Super quick and easy install. The passenger side water reservoir had to be moved out of the way to gain easy access to the back of the headlight. The battery on the driver's side had to also be moved slightly for the same reason. The rubber boots on the back of the headlights had to be trimmed by 1cm so the bulbs could lock in the headlight. Factory power connectors connect directly to the LED bulb's power connectors. Anti-flicker canbus decoders are not needed.

Installation Notes: DIY time: 40min. A few small parts obstructing the headlight access had to be removed. 1" holes had to be created in the dust caps to run the power wires out to the ballast. Anti-flicker decoders were not needed with this HID kit. Simple and straight forward installation.

VOLVO semi-truck headlight re-wire, upgrade low beams to 55W ballasts with D2S HID bulbs in a projector, and 9005 LED high beams. The truck's computer is super picky. With halogens used in high beams, the computer would shut off both low and high beam when the high beam was activated. Headlights can be accessed from the engine compartment, but LED bulb installation is 100x easier if the headlights are removed. The passenger side requires that the airbox is removed, and the bulb release is located behind the left side of the bulb - move the release down (counter-clockwise) to release the bulb and up (clockwise) to secure it in place after replacement.
