WE ARE BACK! As of today, the HIGHBOAT is open again. It might be feeling a little bit different at this point, but this is much better than the way it was the last two months. Have a great start to the week and hopefully we will be seeing you soon for a breakfast or lunch at the diner. Good afternoon everybody, It looked pretty promising to reopen the Highboat this coming Tuesday, but, it is not going to happen. Below is a letter from my health department team regarding the situation. I think we all have to wait another week....better safe then sorry. I will keep all of you posted.... Hi all, A number of you have reached out to me with respect to how to re-open the food services establishment next week. On my previous email, I had indicated that we were told the document would be released latest today. I am sorry to inform you all that we have just received the announcement from our management that the guidance would not be available until the end of next week. The provincial and Regional Health Authorities counterparts are still finalizing the public health guidance on the various sectors to support a safe COVID mitigation reopening plans, including Food Safety. At this point, as stated on my previous email, the Order is still in place which is for delivery and take out only. Will reach out once I have a more detailed guidance. Good morning everyone, Sure hope all is well in your life. It is Thursday May the 14th. It feels like a very very long time since I’ve been at the cafe serving you all. Actually, it was March the 25th when I shut the door of the Highboat because of the nasty virus. Sad! Anyway, I do feel we are getting close to reopening again.....just waiting for Bonnie and the health department to give us the green light. There will be changes for sure, but I will make sure that all o...f it is done proper. Please....have a little bit more patience, stay positive, still keep your distance and wash your hands often. This will get us to our end goal quicker and better than most places.... Enjoy the long weekend, go outside and take in YOUR neighbourhood you live in. Miss you all...... Hello everyone, it’s been three weeks since we’ve closed our café. It feels a lot longer. I hope all you my customers and friends are doing fine and staying healthy and positive! There is no reopening date planned as of yet, but I’m sure all of us hope for a fairly quick turnaround.
