Thank you to all of those who work year round behind the scenes, keeping our shows running, our horses healthy and happy, doing the important administrative, st...ructural, and physical work that keep our sport in existence and thriving. We would be nothing without you. PLEASE JOIN US in doing our part in supporting OUR community, by offering financial aid to those who are left jobless and financially depleted due to the COVID-19 show cancellations. Without relying on them, we have no shows... now without work, they should be able to rely on us for some support. It is the least we can do to take care of our own. No donation is too small, everything helps. These are our peers, our friends, and our family who make our dreams possible. Donations can me made though our FB fundraiser, GoFundMe, or reach out to us for other methods. ALL PROCEEDS GO DIRECTLY TO HELPING MEMBERS OF THE HORSE SHOW COMMUNITY, TO HELP WITH GROCERIES, PHONE BILLS, AND TAKING CARE OF THEIR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. ***THIS IS GENUINE AND THIS IS NECESSARY.*** https://www.facebook.com/donate/511164036428166/117505813227314/ https://www.gofundme.com/f/show-jumping-relief-fund

#Repost Practical Horseman Magazine Throwback to the 1989 World Cup Final in Tampa, Florida! Following three consecutive top ten World Cup Final f...inishes from 1985 to 1987, including a second-place finish in 1986, Canada’s Ian Millar and Big Ben made history by becoming the first pair to win two consecutive World Cup Finals in 1988 in Gothenburg, Sweden, and in 1989 in Tampa. . One of Canada’s most beloved show jumpers, Big Ben made three Olympic appearances, was a Pan American Games double gold medalist and had over 50 major Grand Prix titles. He triumphed against the odds, overcoming two colic surgeries and a terrible highway trailer accident. In 1994, Big Ben was officially retired and was inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame, making him the second non-human athlete to ever receive this honor (the first was racehorse Native Dancer). At the age of 23, Big Ben was euthanized at the University of Guelph after suffering a severe bout of colic. He is buried at Millar Brooke Farm in Ontario. @team_millar .
