Exciting news!!! New Practitioner Alert!!!! Please let me introduce to you my dear friend, former classmate, and esteemed colleague, Carrie Kawahatsu R.Ac, R.TCMP.... Carrie is a wonderful Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner whose goal is to make sure her clients feel safe, respected and confident in getting better. She approaches her clients with curiosity and openness and listens deeply in order to provide a focused treatment that addresses both symptoms and root causes. Her treatments use a variety of modalities including: Acupuncture, Herbal medicine, Moxa, Gua sha, Tuina, Shiatsu and Reiki to rebalance the body. She is a keen practitioner with special interest in treating gynecological issues, digestive issues, sleep disorders and psycho-emotional disorders. With a background in teaching, Carrie has also been on faculty as an instructor and clinical supervisor at Eight Branches Academy of Eastern Medicine, in Toronto. Carrie will be in the High Park Acupuncture Clinic on: Tuesday's and Friday's between 9 30am to 3 30pm. Hi Friends !! How is everyone doing? Just wanted to check in and let you know that I am here for you!! If you need anything, please feel free to txt, email, call . I was thinking today that we all need to focus our time and attention on the things that we HAVE control of...especially in times that are so uncertain. Feelings of loss of control are very powerful and fear inducing. We don't need these feelings right now! We HAVE CONTROL over what we eat, our exercise, meditat...ion and mindfulness practices, being present and in the moment with our loved ones. Let's focus here! Slowing down can be really great. It gives us time and space to focus on what is really important. What is important to you? Have you been thinking about this lately. I sure have. As much as this is a humbling and inconvenient experience to all of us, in the grand scheme we are still very lucky. Let's be real. Generations before us have endured far worse and have emerged triumphantly. Let's continue to stay home! Take care of our own health and the health of our family, friends and neighbours. Let's continue to be positive and support one another mentally, physically and spiritually. We can do it!! We will come out of this changed and even stronger than before. Of this I am certain.
