Part-Time Property Manager/Administrator Required Immediately. Dik Tiy Housing Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing strength, inclusivity, and unity to our community by developing and managing safe, affordable, quality housing for individuals with diverse abilities and needs. Position Objective... To manage and oversee a non-profit social housing property in the town of Smithers, BC. Responsible for achieving superior operational results and financial performance, the property manager needs to have a high degree of empathy and a proven track record of taking a client centered approach in managing the day to day business of the Housing Society. This position reports to the Board of Directors. Responsibilities Include Manage all aspects of the housing property Rent collection and record keeping Building maintenance Tenant selection and occupancy inspections Regulatory Compliance with the Societies Act, WorkSafe BC and other regulatory agencies Liaison with Board of Directors, BC Housing, Vendors, Suppliers, Housing Partners Sourcing and supervision of sub-contractors Budget preparation and presentation Operational and financial reporting in advance of monthly board meetings Attendance at regularly scheduled board meetings Support and engage in new project development Regular communication with all levels of staff, tenants, leadership and the Board of Directors Work collaboratively with Society Partners and Stakeholders Experience & Qualifications Property management experience in a non-profit environment, especially social housing, shelter, group home or recovery house for at least 2 years, is preferred. Strong leadership, supervisory, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, are required. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively, is essential. Ability to maintain a calm, welcoming, empathetic, and professional demeanor at all times with staff and with vulnerable and/or marginalized individuals Proficiency in word, outlook and excel and the ability to become proficient in other software, as required Ability to review and analyze financial statements, budgets, and other financial reporting Availability to respond to emergency situations after hours, if needed A driver's license that is valid for the past ten (10) years is a plus Must complete a criminal record check |Wage Range: $18 - $20 per hour| |20 Hours per week| Apply in writing to: P.O.
