This story in the https://www.leducrep.com is the perfect expression of what we're trying to do. And over the weekend, with the very kind support of friends and neighbours (still to be put into the campaign), we're over 95% to our goal on the https://www.atbboostr.ca campaign site (look for Building a Craft Meadery). We're gonna do this thing. Your support will make a difference in how quickly we can get up and running. Thanks for your support everyone.
As of this morning, we're 91% of the way to our campaign goal. This is actually going to happen. Aside from the fact that New Sarepta is actually southeast of Edmonton and the fact that we already sell mead under Rig Hand Distillery's license, this Edmonton Journal article hits the mark. https://edmontonjournal.com//meadery-southwest-of-edmonton... https://www.atbboostr.ca
We're over 80% of the way to our crowd funding target on our https://www.atbboostr.ca campaign. Please consider helping us with the equipment we're gonna need to make some of the best craft mead in the province. Here' another great story in the Edmonton Journal, but talented writer Tom Murray: https://edmontonjournal.com//meadery-southwest-of-edmonton... If you have any trouble with the site, just DM us, and we'll help you navigate.
The second of our CFCW interview segments will be on AM 840 around 12:30 today and tomorrow. https://www.cfcw.com
Thank you to my old friend Tom, who Boosted our ATB Old Station Mead Campaign. His name will be on the wall of supporters. https://app.atbboostr.ca/offering/buildingacraftmeadery If you haven't seen the video yet and don't know what we're trying to do here, please have a look. Let me know if you have trouble with the site. I'll get it fixed. And this is a great video too:... https://drive.google.com//1L5eXw0i044MtBCS7dk_uMP-cj/view
VERY EXCITED TO ANNOUCE that Leduc County has accepted our proposal to lease the New Sarepta Fire Hall. The Old Station Honey & Mead Co. will open in fall of 2021 and we're very excited for what this will mean for the revitalization of the town of New Sarepta, the agricultural community and tourism opportunities for our town. Be sure to check out our ATB Financial Alberta BoostR campaign to find out more about how you can help the future of the meadery here: https://app.atbboostr.ca/offering/buildingacraftmeadery
As soon as we can, the name of our little honey & mead company will change to: The Old Station Honey & Mead Co. ... because the old New Sarepta Fire Hall will be repurposed as our meadery... to open in the autumn of 2021.... https://drive.google.com//1L5eXw0i044MtBCS7dk_uMP-cj/view
This is going to be the spiciest capsicumel I've ever made. Sweet and very, very spicy.
First serious attempt at a sparkling hydromel (after a few failures that got us close). Made from a secret herb (yes, that colour is totally natural), whose name I cannot divulge on pain of death. Still two or three weeks away from bottling, but so far... just awesome and unique.
Saskatoon Melomel (mead made with berries), and Traditional Spring Mead are now both on sale at Rig Hand Distillery in Nisku.
New labels for the Saskatoon Melomel (mead made with berries) are going on bottles right now.
The saskatoon berries are waiting for you to pick them... make jam... pies... wine... or just throw them in your yoghurt. Share far and wide. Tons and tons... just hanging here waiting
Wish I’d taken a photo, but I was a bit busy. Captured a swarm a couple of days ago to add to the High Water colonies.
The very first batch of High Water Honey & Mead is ready to go. Off to Rig Hand Distillery tomorrow. Rig Hand is incubating our little venture and well be selling under their licensing umbrella.
Saskatoon berries will be ready for picking by Sunday: U-Pick 4L pail = $14 U-Pick 5L pail = $16 We-Pick for you 5L pail - $23 Google:... 5020 Schlender Ave New Sarepta Call 780-297-3811 for more info. Friends, please share far and wide. See more

Canola, alfalfa, and clover are all in bloom! Once we get some warmer days the honey will flow "bigley." Over the next few weeks a hive can gain 5 to 25 lbs per day. In high summer, a beehive can have between 50,000 and 80,000 honeybees, working away at various tasks. During this summer flow, the are bringing in a lot of pollen and nectar and need room to store their loot. Weve been out adding our sponsored honey supers so the bees have plenty of room and dont swarm
The last two sponsored bee hives are done and all will be on hives within a couple of days... just in time for the big summer honey flow. Our artist is off to tour Japan for five weeks.
