I've recently started seeing an amazing personal trainer to help with my pelvic floor dysfunctions. It's been very eye opening, because also I kegel daily, prac...tice yoga and teach breathing. I would have thought I was caring for my pelvic floor! Good pelvic floor health is important to a healthy core and abdominal strength. Doing kegels or abdominal breathing wrong can make you pelvic floor muscles too tight or not strong enough. This can lead to numerous problems during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I'm not an expert on this subject, so I recommend you look into seeing a Pelvic Floor Specialist during your pregnancy for any concerns, as well as a Chiropractor. These exercises will help to strengthen your transverse abdominals (super important for pushing) and your pelvic floor. You'll be able to feel it when you are doing them correctly!
