We might not be able to do everything we wanted this holiday, but there is still so much we can do. It’s important to remember to do things this holidays season that spark joy like baking, decorating and getting outside to enjoy the winter air. It's just about the end kinesiology week. #nationalkinesiologyweek Just a few minutes of exercise or movement can help us feel less stressed and helps make problems feel more manageable. Any movement is better than none, so take a quick 5 minute walk after lunch or supper today. Your body and brain will thank you. https://youtu.be/z98tT7ZSvXw

With the rise in #COVID19 cases it is important to remember isolation is not the same thing as social distancing. During isolation, you must stay home and avoi...d contact with those in your household. You cannot leave your home for any reason, other than a medical emergency. Follow the instructions you receive from Alberta Health Services or healthcare providers You can go outside on a private porch, yard or balcony that is not accessible by others Call your family doctor if you have health questions Don’t go to work Don’t leave your house or yard Don’t accept visitors into your home Don’t use elevators or public stairwells in your apartment Avoid contact with people in your home For more information about isolation rules, please visit: https://buff.ly/35SQG90 #StayHome #SelfIsolation

Saturday Nov 14 is World Diabetes Day. One in three Canadians has diabetes or prediabetes, and those at age 20 now face a 50 per cent chance of developing the disease. This year's campaign aims to raise awareness around the crucial role that nurses play in supporting people living with diabetes. Do you have questions on how to prevent or manage your diabetes? Please contact the nurse in your medical home (doctor's office) #worlddiabetesday
