One of the best ways to build a new habit is to identify a current habit you already do each day and then stack your new behavior on top. For example: every time you turn on the shower, do 10 push ups. If you serve yourself a meal, put veggies on your plate first. When you leave work, change into your workout clothes and workout before you go home. James Clear has lots of great ideas for building new habits-- a great article to start the new year!

We tell ourselves I’m going to eat healthy or I’m going start working out but don’t usually set up a plan to do so. Set an implementation intention of *when* and *where* you will perform the new habit you’re creating (workout, meal prep, or whatever else). Follow your plan so you don’t need to make a decision. Once you start, the motivation will follow. Action -> Motivation -> More Motivation. Set a plan and act. The rest will follow. #healthyhabits
