Coffee & rainy days are the coziest! Traditionally, this would be our OFFICIAL Highland Yard Race Day. You still have until TODAY, Sunday, August 2 at 11 AM if you’d like to register! We know many people who love rainy running! If you’ve already participated in the 2020 Highland Yard, then we have some GREAT news! All participants will get 10% off pottery from Purple Door Pottery, the incredible artist who made this years mugs! We can’t wait to share our final fundraising amount with you! We have been completely blown away by the generosity and support from people all over the world! This has been our most successful Highland Yard EVER and we couldn’t have done it without you! For the past 50 years, the August Long Weekend has traditionally been our running weekend! Obviously, this year is a bit different, but that’s not slowing our runners down! Check out Jenny Russel Houston and Todd Houston doing our Heritage Run; 7.3 KM between Camp Onondaga & The Rockliffe that pays homage to our early days of races! Thank you to EVERYONE who has run & fundraised so far! You have until TOMORROW at 11 to register! Let’s make the last leg of this race the biggest yet!

Dogs & races; name a more iconic duo! Thanks to everyone who has submitted photos of their furry friends joining them on their Highland Yard journey! Turns out cats & rabbits aren’t the BEST race partners out there, but they sure do have team spirit! We wanted to send a quick note to thank those of you who have already signed up to run and fundraise in our [Stay at Home] run. You've blown us away with your generosity and have helped us smash through our $20,000 fundraising goal!! Happy FUNDRAISER FRIDAY!!! We are SO excited to announce that at this point, the 2020 Highland Yard has officially raised $19,169, which is more than we have EVER. RAISED. BEFORE. We weren’t sure WHAT to expect when we decided to organize a virtual run this year, but we are absolutely blown away by the support coming from around the world. Since we are going into our last week of fundraising, let’s all go above and beyond to hit our $20,000 goal!!! We’ve pulled together some ...fundraising tips to help you on your journey, and to reach our goal together! First off, start small! Break it down into small, attainable amounts. It's a lot easier to ask for $20 then $100. Sometimes the first little bit is key, so why not donate your coffee money for the next month toward your own fundraising page? Even $5 a week would be $20 at the end of the month, and when people see that you're already on the way to your goal they may find it easier to donate! Don't be afraid to get personal! Sometimes people miss your social posts, or need to be reminded that you're fundraising. Send a personalized email to people with a brief note about why you're fundraising, the cause (feel free to steal from our social posts!) and include the link for people to click and easily donate right after donating. If you're not comfortable asking for cash, there are lots of other ways to donate or raise money. Ask a friend who owns a business to donate a gift card and "raffle" it off on your social media. Have a golf membership? Why not auction off a tee time? Your friends can pay for their items by making donations to your page! One week left to hit our goal!
