We regret to inform you that the HPC Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to continue the closure of the Club for the remainder of the 2020/2021 curling season. The decision to close wasn’t made lightly, and we know that the entire membership will be as disappointed by the news as we are. Ultimately, the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic and its associated restrictions or lockdowns made reopening the Club this season too risky from both a financial and health & safety perspective. Members should check their email for a message from the Board. We look forward to seeing everyone upon our reopening later in 2021!

After previously announcing a September 28th start to curling and in light of the increase in active COVID-19 cases, the Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to postpone the opening of the curling season until at least January 2021. This decision was not made lightly and carries with it a great deal of uncertainty, but we know our amazing community of members will get through it. The decision was based on a number of factors, including: - the increasing number o...f active cases province-wide, but particularly in Toronto; - an abundance of caution for our members’ health and safety; - to mitigate the financial risks of opening, especially with the increased likelihood that the club might be shut down mid-season, and; - to do our part within our community to help reduce community transmission of the virus. The Board believes that we have a duty to our members to provide a safe and enjoyable experience when at the Club. Although we're confident in our health and safety protocols, and in all the work that our COVID-19 Response Committee has done over the last 6 months, the risks involved with opening at such an uncertain time outweighs our desire to get back on the ice. Members of High Park Club will have received a detailed message about the closure earlier today. The Board will continue to evaluate the situation at monthly meetings and will update the membership on a regular basis. For more information, please contact the HPC Board of Directors. https://highparkclub.com/Contact/Board_of_Directors
