Everybody’s house was hot last night!

They say that a hive that doesn’t have a queen in it will roar. Any guesses as to which hive in this video is queenless?

We are expecting! Fingers crossed these peanut shaped cells hatch a new queen for our hive.

If you need a reason to leave the dandelions for a bit, I found a good one in the backyard...

All moved in and already hard at work. They must know there is rain in the forecast!

Monday is bee pick up day! We’ll be picking up two nuc (short for nucleus) hives then, stay tuned for pictures of the new colonies!

This will definitely put a damper honey production this summer. Luckily our bees last season were overachievers, so we do still have some honey in stock. Fingers crossed we are able to find some bees to keep this summer!
