Town of High Prairie Public Notice On December 7, 2020 Alberta Health Services reported 15 active cases of Covid-19 within Big Lakes County. Pursuant to Bylaw 18-2020 "The Mandatory Face Covering Bylaw" once Alberta Health Services has reported 15 active Covid-19 cases the Bylaw comes into effect. To view the bylaw visit our website http://www.highprairie.ca/p/bylaws All persons shall wear a Face Covering at all times while in an indoor, enclosed, or substantially enclosed Public Place or in any Public Transportation vehicle. A Public Place must prominently display a sign, in a location that is visible to a person immediately upon entering a Public Place or Public Transportation vehicle. For a copy of the signage visit our website www.highprairie.ca. This bylaw is in effect until we have reached under 15 active Covid-19 cases for thirty (30) consecutive days within Big Lakes County.

Restrictions on the Aquatic Centre: Saturday Red Cross Lessons are postponed until further notice. All morning water fitness classes have been cancelled. Self taught water fitness will be available on Mondays, Wednesday, Friday from (8-9am). We have reduced our facility capacity to 40 patrons (20 per leisure pool & 20 per main pool)... Public & Family Swims will be available (physically distanced & same house hold only). We encourage patrons to arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to swim time. We also encourage patrons to come dressed in swim suits & plan to shower at home after swim. See more

Notice of Holiday Town Office Closures

We are now classified as an enhanced area. As a result the Arena will now be closed until December 15th as per Provincial Guidelines. We will post more information as we receive it.
