Ranch staff help retirees donate 14,000+ lbs of produce to @CalgaryFoodBank Teams from across all seven Tims Camps locations have been hard at work giving back... to their communities in recent months. Earlier this fall, @thcranch staff partnered with retirees from TransAlta, Alberta’s largest producer of hydro-electric power to help harvest their community garden in support of the Calgary Food Bank. This group, known as POWER, or Projects Organized with Energetic Retirees, has been volunteering their time at the Ranch each spring and fall to work on projects to help get the Ranch ready for campers for over a decade. Helping them harvest their garden seemed like a perfect way to show our appreciation and return the favour. From this acre garden, a total of 14,131 lbs of produce was delivered to the @CalgaryFoodBank! Thank you, POWER and @thcranch for continuing to make our communities stronger! Community gardens help to provide fresh produce to our clients. When we can give food that is healthy, it is not just a gift for an empty tummy, it tells someone they matter. ~ Calgary Food Bank
