My beautiful wife Nathalie King was busy #canning #pickledbeets today. It’s our first attempt at this and we used the #pressurecanner. Let’s see what happens!

We keep getting asked about #garlic because no one wants garlic from China. In the mail today arrived our #Canadian #seedgarlic from @veseysseeds! 5lbs means that we will have plenty of #zorratownship #localgarlic for sale next summer!

Super excited that our Veseys Seeds Ltd. garlic is on its way! I’m widening this row out to just over 30 inches after adding some goat manure. Then I’ll lay out 2 rows of drip tape, cover with plastic mulch and plant the garlic through that. Then once the cloves are planted I’ll cover with a thick layer of straw. Last time I did it this way I had almost 100% germination. Only one clove out of 3 lbs of #garlic didn’t grow.
