Are you experiencing intense sugar cravings? Over eating? Binge eating? ADHD brains are constantly seeking out serotonin and dopamine and our brains response to eating yummy food such as chips, cookies or candy is a burst in dopamine. Conveniently eating carbs and sugar create the dopamine response that we are searching for...it scratches that itch so to speak. The problem is it is very short term and dopamine doesn’t last long which means you find yourself reaching for ano...ther cookie and then another and frustratingly our hyper focus or inattention kicks in and before you know it you’ve eaten the entire jar of cookies or bowl of chips. ADHD brains are pre-disposed to eating disorders and substance abuse disorder for that constant search for serotonin and dopamine. If you’re curious or interested in learning more about boosting dopamine naturally without the use of sugar or substances that only create more problems DM me See more

Do you know much about ADHD? Some really important facts that I wished I would of known years ago...Men are 3 times more likely to be diagnosed at a young age, woman are typically not diagnosed til the adult years and by then have struggled for far too long. Almost 1/2 of adults with ADHD will develop substance abuse disorder if not treated properly. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder in which the brain has impaired activity in the frontal cortex which is the region that ...controls high level functions such as attention, executive function & organization. Some symptoms you are probably aware of are hyperactive, fidgety, talking to fast and too much, little to no concentration. Some symptoms you may not be so aware of include struggling with routine, over sharing/thinking and over apologizing, overwhelmed in public places or social gatherings, trouble waiting, procrastination, memory issues and constantly losing things(phone, keys, wallet), extreme fatigue, constantly over stimulated or under stimulated with no in between. Although medication can greatly reduce symptoms and help an individual to live a normal life, I have made it my personal mission to control symptoms and live the best life without the use of pharmaceuticals and without self medicating the way I did for years in addiction. I now use food, supplements and made lifestyle changes that drastically reduced the negative aspects of ADHD. I’ve turned this disability from a disorder to a Super Power and I am living life to its fullest. If you are interested in learning more about how you too can do this DM me for more info See more

Girls with ADHD typically go undiagnosed til later in life due to inattentive presentation which goes unnoticed compared to the disruptive hyperactive behaviours. Boys tend to be externalizers-more disruptive in classroom settings whereas girls tend to be internalizers-often silently suffering( distracted by our thoughts). Girls with ADHD often get distracted in day dreams, tend to be more forgetful as well as more sensitive and emotional. The hyperactivity is typically exp...ressed as excessive talking, body fidgeting such as nail biting, playing with hair and tapping. Untreated ADHD in girls puts them at risk for low self-esteem, under achievement, problems with anxiety and depression and high risk to develop addictions. #ADHD #girlswithadhd #adhdstruggles #support #undiagnosed #obsessivecompulsive #hyperfocus #hyperactivity #womanwithadhd #perfectionist
