Time to throw your skates on! This will likely be the last weekend we will be able to plow the skating trails as the snow is getting to deep for our small tractor. However the sledding is still great!

We would like to thank Jason Heaman & Chelsy MacInnis from Heaman Electric for coming out to the Kenworth dam and working on the light tower that we have provided for the community to use at their leisure.

We are looking for an electrician to donate their time to look at the Light Tower, that we have provided for the community to use at the Kenworth dam.

When conducting a Pre-trip inspection make sure that you inspect the brake chambers for any rusted or worn out holes. This is a very dangerous situation if the spring breaks through the outer housing.

This holiday season is all about safe, socially-distanced fun in the great outdoors. We want to help families and friends enjoy skating and ice fishing at Kenworth Dam, so we've installed a light tower for everyone to use. We'll refuel it from time to time, but we'd appreciate anyone who's willing to top up the diesel after use. Any questions? Call 204-764-2121. Stay safe, have fun, and make some great holiday memories!

When conducting a Pre-trip inspection of you vehicle make sure to look for areas that may have hidden issues like chaffing and kinking. Look for areas in a brake line that it may be in contact with a frame, a mounting bracket or even against another hose. This type of contact will ultimately result in chaffing but could be a violation as well. Pictures may not always show the whole story so here is what was found. A: Hose touching metal bracket with hose reduction after it was moved. B: Hose Kinked to a 90 degree angle restricting air flow to a brake chamber. Be safe Get Home Safe!!!
