Thank you to all of this year's microgrant applicants! Congratulations to this year's microgrant recipients - Red Rock Public Library's Healthy Community Garden, Jacob's safeTALK, and Rendezvous Ski Club! Each organization has been awarded $200 to put towards health and wellness initiatives/projects in our communities!... Happy March! For the month of February we're challenging you to try 'SNOWGA' Open to all residents of Nipigon, Red Rock, Dorion & Lake Helen. ALL AGES!! Submit your pictures by February 26 for chance to win a Winter Theme Basket.
Funds from this year's Hike for Health are being distributed. Today, $1500 was donated to Jump Start through the Rotary Club :) Thank you to everyone for your continued support as we give back to our communities. This would not be possible without you
APPRECIATION POST! Thank you to our wonderful committee members and volunteers, your handwork and planning does not go unnoticed. Thank you to all of this year’s hikers as well as the supporting organizations and businesses for another great Hike for Health! Although this year had a little twist, we thank you all for taking part and making this year’s event possible. Together we raised over $7000 and after expenses are able to give back $5800 to our communities! This year fun...ds will be distributed in the following ways: Rotary Club of Canada to help support Jump Start programming within our communities. Land of Nipigon Waterway Development Association to help with trail maintenance and preservation. Local schools to help with student engagement, programs and equipment. High school graduate bursary to help support a graduating student with an interest in health and wellness follow their dream career through post-secondary education. Information about the bursary requirements and application will be available through each school’s guidance counselor(s) shortly. Micro-grants to help support local health and wellness initiatives! Stay tuned for more information and application forms. Watch here for committee updates and photos as we give back. We hope everyone had a happy and safe Halloween, however you chose to spend it Thank you to all of this year’s hikers! We know this year was a little unconventional but without you, this event would not be possible year after year. This year 57 hikers registered for the 23rd Annual Hike for Health Choose your Adventure raising a total of $2500 through registration fees and donations/pledges. Here are some fun stats!...
