My first post in many a moon (groan). Apparently this will be the biggest moon we will see in 2020 - it really did have that pink appearance! Taken from a rise behind the Victoria Gold Club in Oak Bay.

Tofino is amazing - only a 4 hour drive from Victoria - great hiking, beaching walking, and great food in town! The photos below are 2 of our favourite places in the world...the night shot is of Middle Beach Lodge (I got a couple of shooting stars in that one), on McKenzie Beach and the other 2 are on Chesterman (one of the most incredible beaches I've seen)...

Lots of water coming over Niagara Falls (no kidding!) in Goldstream Park right now - a stop here is part of the Salmon Run Tour...

I've been to this spot by the Oak Bay Marina about 50 times in 2019 trying to get something decent - sometimes persistence pays off - that's the Cascade Mountains of Washington State providing the backdrop...
