MAKE A DIFFERENCE: JOIN YOUR HSCA BOARD! The HSCA Board of Directors is recruiting new board members for the 2020 AGM (April 27, 2021). We are looking for members with expertise in any (or a combination) of the following areas: Legal, Planning, Childcare, IT/Tech or Engineering/Facilities. The monthly hourly commitment is 4-6 hours, including a monthly board meeting. HSCA covers from the Calgary Curling Club to 18th street, and all members are welcome. Learn about her perseverance, activism against racism and advocacy for Civil Rights. Walk with us to learn about Violet’s connection to the community and her former home in Sunnyside. On Tuesday, Jan 21 at 7:00 there will be a Caregiver Connections Online session. This session is for Caregivers, Friends of Caregivers or anyone interested to talking with others about the caregiving journey, challenges, sharing experiences or just want to connect with others who are experiencing a similar journey. This session will also help to provide direction for future session, possible information sessions from other support programs, information for the website that would be beneficial and other topics that may come from the group. BowWest is super excited to for this new program offered through Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Association in partnership with Commun...ity Food Centres Canada to bring you MARKET GREENS! Market Greens provides a voucher for free food weekly for 15 weeks for anyone with a diet-related health issue. This is a great program that supports individuals living with a diet-related health issue to be able to have access to affordable nutritious food. The market occurs Mondays from 4-6pm at the HSCA.
