" " ( ) Do you know how many letters there are in our alphabet? Twenty six letters. Which is a good thing.... Because Plan A doesn’t always work! This thanksgiving Plan A didn’t work. Plan A bit the dust. Plan A was a 20 pound turkey, with all the trimmings. Plan A was some guests around the Table and lively conversation. Plan A was having my mother over. Plan A was two pies (for choice!) Plan A didn’t work. So we moved to Plan B The 20 pound turkey, shrunk in size the table became smaller But before Pan B became a reality, the Orange phase for the Moncton area kicked in Gatherings were limited Plan B didn’t work. So we moved to Plan C Plan C was Dennis and I in front of the TV watching a movie, eating a 4 pound chicken and phoning my mother. ’ . How many times have we heard that in the last 6 months? Before COVID 19 arrived we did things the same way we had always done them. Not a lot of variation. But with COVID 19 We have been switching plans. Continually switching plans Often with very little notification. Holiday plans Wedding plans School plans Employment plans Funeral plans. Everything has changed So it is a good thing we have 26 letters in the alphabet because Plan A doesn’t often work. So according to our alphabet we have 25 more letters to go through. 25 more plans we can try. We just need to be inventive and not attached to just ONE plan ONE way of doing things And therein lies the dilemma. We are often married to just ONE plan ONE way of doing things. We have always done school this way. We have always done church this way. We have always done funerals this way. We have always done thanksgiving this way. We have always done Christmas this way. Not this year. This year we are all learning new ways and making new plans. So as you make your way through Plan A, and then Plan B, etc so many plans Smile and think 26 ! And if you run out of letters, take heart! There are 74 letters in the Cambodian Khmer alphabet. Endless possibilities! 29:11 , , , .

Blessings to you and yours this Thanksgiving weekend. We know it's hard right now, and many of us are feeling discouraged. Take comfort in knowing we are in this together and no matter where you are right now, the Greatest Love of All has you wrapped in arms of strength and comfort. We have much to be thankful for.

- NO IN-PERSON WORSHIP this , 8. Everyone is welcome to join us for our Facebook LIVE Thanksgiving service at 10 a.m. sharp! Come as you are (having coffee and breakfast on hand is encouraged) AND let us worship together this Thanksgiving! If you have been following the news report, you will have heard that the Moncton area has been pushed back to the ORANGE zone. Because of the number of cases in Moncton, the public health department has decided, that for... the greater good, we ought not to be gathering in large numbers. Blessings, Peggy For accurate information, go to gnb.ca: https://www2.gnb.ca//corpora/promo/covid-19/recovery.html

Good morning from HUC! From our little corner of the world, we offer our meditations, our prayers, our song, to you, in the name of Jesus. A symbol of our love, and God's love for you - no strings attached. Just as you are, you are loved more than you'll ever know.

Today we gather to celebrate the life of Donald Vernon Hopper (1930-2020). Don was a dear friend to many, we cherish the memories, mourn our loss and the loss to his many friends and family. But we also take comfort and joy in knowing Don is celebrating now with his Lord and Saviour.

"" ( ) There is a stop sign. Actually it is four-way stop, located just a few blocks from my place. And this morning, at 7:30 a.m.... I counted. I counted the number of cars who actually stopped at the sign. and the number of cars who glided through. Anyone want to guess how many cars glided? In the space of 3 minutes, there was car that stopped, and cars that glided! Now I cannot point too many fingers, because, having lived on the prairies (that is my excuse) I am a long time glider! A four-way stop in the middle of the open prairie, where you can see for MILES in all directions, makes no sense to me. So, why stop? However, I digress. There were nineteen gliders, and it got me thinking. In my life there have been many occasions to stop. There have been instances, and moments and circumstances when there has been a virtual stop sign: when God has encouraged me to stop; to spend time in thought to spend time in prayer to reflect, to think about where my life was going. And ignoring such times, and just gliding through them is not beneficial to me. Stop signs and moments of stopping in life (though they might not seem so at the time) can be gifts for us; gifts from God when we can re-evaluate our direction, our purpose, our focus, our relationship with God and with others. Perhaps it would be wise for us to pay more attention to all the stop signs and to wait at them; to stop at them. and not glide through them so much. Who knows what we might discover. who knows what God might be trying to say to us. : ; ; , ; , .
