Patients of Hillside medical clinic, and residents of Kelowna: It is our commitment to continue to provide ongoing medical care to our community during the current health crisis. There are several measures we are instituting to ensure you can get the care you need. We have established a dedicated line that you can call with questions regarding COVID-19, including answering questions regarding if you require testing and how this can be done. If you have any of the symptoms as...sociated with COVID-19 (cough, fever, shortness of breath), please do not come to the clinic, and call 236.338.0400 for more information. Our doctors are also available to refill medications via fax or phone in most cases. We are offering virtual appointments via webcam and telephone. If you would like, you can book a 'virtual' appointment by calling the regular clinic line: 250.763.6322. Please be aware that the scope of these appointments are obviously somewhat limited. If you are uncomfortable waiting for your appointment in our waiting room due to exposure to other patients, we are happy to give you the option to wait in your car. If you choose this option, please check in at the front desk, leave your cellphone number, and you will be called for your appointment and put directly into a room to see the physician. This will significantly limit your exposure to other patients, and allow for better social distancing in the waiting rooms. Room surfaces are sanitized regularly and after every sick patient. We will remain open and accessible through the course of this public health crisis. We encourage patients with common colds to simply stay home. Due to a damaged fibre-optic line in the lower mainland, we are currently experiencing intermittent issues with our phone system. Our service provider is working to resolve the issue which is part of the broader outage affecting most service providers across the province. Due to an area power outage, we are unable to accept patients in the walk in at this time. There is currently no ETA for power to be restored, but we will update here as we know more.

We are pleased to share that online booking is now available for our family practice patients at Hillside Medical Clinic! You are now able to book, change and cancel appointments at your convenience, complete with text or email reminders. Given that the nature of visits to our clinic can be for a wide range of reasons, access to the online booking system requires an access code, which you can request from your family doctor during your next visit. Once you have an access code, you can access the online appointment portal via our web page at, www.hillsideclinic.ca And for our walk-in patients, MediMap.ca continues to offer an online check-in feature as well as current wait times for the walk-in clinic.

We now have an IUD Clinic located inside of Hillside Medical Clinic! Okanagan Women’s Clinic is taking referrals for IUD Insertions and Contraceptive Counselling. You can get a referral from your family doctor or any walk-in clinic. Wait times are minimal, accommodating most patients within one week. Contact them at: (778) 484-5166
