The Support Society baked cookies for the residents and staff at Hilltop House, using required quarantine protocols. The cookies will be distributed at their internal Christmas celebrations on Wednesday when Santa will deliver Christmas gifts to every resident. The society would usually be involved in the Christmas party but the Activities staff has gone over and above to make this season special and we thank them for their efforts.

Thanks to the Squamish Downtown Business Improvement Association, we received two decorated trees for Hilltop House last Saturday. Trish and the Activities staff have been busy turning the resident's garden area into a winter wonderland so the trees were a great addition. The Squamish Farmer's Market Association also raised over $1,200 that Saturday, which was donated to the Support Society for the residents. In addition, London Drugs has been collecting Christmas gifts for the residents. It's so appreciated having the community help make this a special Christmas for the Hilltop House residents.

The Society's re-usable bags are now on sale for $3.00 each at the Adventure Centre Store and at the Beehive in Brackendale. This is in addition to Garibaldi Graphics downtown and at Hilltop House. All proceeds are for the benefit of the residents. Please spread the word and lets flood Squamish with bright yellow bags.

Now the new bus is in operation, the Society is selling the previous van which is a 2005 Ford Econoline E350 Super Duty 5.4L V8 330cl. The van has 90,550 kms, accommodates one passenger next to the driver and three wheelchairs in the back. It also includes an additional bench seat. The van was purchased new and has been well-maintained. The asking price is $12,000 and for more information please contact the Society President, Christina, at 604-815-9580.

We recently went live with a new website. https://www.hilltophousesupportsociety.org/ which was created to provide more information and background about the support society than is available on the Facebook page. We put it together with advice and help from Sara Evans from Vibe9 Design and Dave Musselwhite. Thanks to you both. It may be awhile before we can start filling it with up-coming activities but we will be ready....
