When we opened to the public 10 years ago we formed a fundraising team to fulfill our promise to Terry to continue the Marathon of Hope in his name.... Never did I imagine we would hit $54,000 raised for cancer research. But then I realized, we didnt do this, you did. You supported us. You donated to the Terry Fox Foundation. Although it cant bring Terry or our loved ones back, it may help someone today or tomorrow. And for that I will celebrate this milestone. It was a very different Terry Fox Run this year. Today we participated in the 40th #terryfoxrun for my dad Peter Samaras & all of those dearest to our heart touched by cancer. We walked, harvested our grapes and pressed them into juice. I guess you could say we dedicate this years harvest to our hero #terryfox. @terryfoxfoundation #tryliketerry

Harvest on our farm has begun and as we prepare for our visit to the Evergreen Brickworks tomorrow we realize something. The wines were bringing are the result of harvest from 2016, 2017, and 2019. Its an obvious connection but easy to forget. Vintage matters for us because it connects the wine to a harvest and to a growing season, and of course, to hard work.
