Member Appreciation: Here at the Hinton & District Chamber of Commerce, our members are the lifeblood of our organization. Thank you for your commitment and being an important partner. Without you, we would not exist. We’d like to use our platform to recognize our fantastic members and showcase what these businesses have been up to in the community. Today we’d like to recognize West Yellowhead Counselling Services!... Over the last year, West Yellowhead Counselling Services (WYCS) has transitioned to offering remote counselling sessions via telehealth and an encrypted chat platform, due to COVID-19 safety concerns and requirements. Feedback from clients has been exceptionally positive, and the transition was implemented smoothly without an interruption of services. Since September 2020, WYCS has been successfully supervising a practicum placement for Ada Dim, who is completing a Master of Counselling through the Graduate Centre for Applied Psychology at Athabasca University. Ms. Dim brings proficiencies and assets to clients, WYCS, and the community. Next month marks the 27th Anniversary of WYCS serving Hinton and the surrounding areas, by providing psychological counselling services locally to employees, families, and retirees of member organizations! If your organization is looking for services, you can visit their website and reach out to them for details at https://wycs.ca/ us for details. Thank you to WYCS for all you do for your clients and our community. Hinton is lucky to have such an amazing and supportive business community!
