We hope you love sharing this piece with others as much as we do. Words from the Kuh: I was thinking about movement and particularly, the emotion that might come from dancing in solitude. Usually, dancing in private, is accompanied by feeling completely free; a performative act that can be likened to magic. To dance in solitude is to exercise emotions welling up too plenty to keep inside. Alternatively, private dancing can bring about a feeling or simply get out of a current headspace. It interrupts the arbitrariness of a moment, free of witness and purely for oneself. It is awkward, raw and ugly and pure joy. I was thinking about what the hips and elbows, head, etc might draw during these performances. I didn’t necessarily think about HIRRS specifically, but what the woman might be doing while wearing them. #HIRRS
