Repost @krysteldallas Taking advantage of some of the specialized equipment we have at the Cambrian Athletic Centre. The HiTrainer is a wicked assessment tool that helps to train speed, power, balance and anaerobic endurance. It even tells you which leg you're favouring! Which is really cool. . .... A lot of my weekday runs happen in the gym, on my lunch hour, on the machines. When that's the only time of day I can schedule them in, sometimes I just don't have a choice but to use the treadmill (due to weather and the fact that I need to be in a condition to return to my desk afterwards). This machine can help on days where I incorporate speed training and can even help with hills by activating a specific muscle set you don't hit with the regular treadmill, even on an incline. It's a non-motorized treadmill so you're using your own power and really digging in. . . It's super fun, if you haven't tried it yet, you should.
