The falling of a Legend I know that this has now rolled out to most of you on social media as Hive sent out an email to it's clientele base to let them all know about the salon closure permanently. It has been a wild ride with many ups and downs, Covid-19 you have changed our lives forever. In saying this I know with the sadness and the upset that new beginnings will follow. ... I was given the gift 19 years ago to come work at a Salon that started out on Johnson St and it's name was H.I.P.E The founder, Ila Meens had created a beautiful thing and no one knew quite how wonderful it would become. With a few years passing and the salon maturing the name changed to Hive Hair. A more sophisticated environment but always a place we felt at home. As years past and we moved to the Cormorant location the salon grew and the love for it also. In the last 4 years I had the pleasure of taking on the business and providing a safe, warm, none judgmental home for our clients as well as our staff. I always took great pride in being a part of this special, beautiful, loving place. I want to extend my gratitude for all that have been a part of Hive over the years (Staff and Clients). Many great and amazing memories have been made. I also have never been supported more in my life by a community that cares so whole heartedly about there people. As the days and weeks move forward into a place where we can safely be back behind the chair we will be sure to let you know what is happening with all current Hive staff. Sending love to you all I can't possibly thank you enough for being a part of a beautiful...now memory. Be Safe and I hope to see smiling faces down the road... <3 <3 <3
