Mom Stop Mom Wendy Little from Alberta tells her story and how it took her sons passing for her to really take a hard look at what we need to change to stop our kids from dying. Her message is, don’t wait to understand- it could be too late for someone you love.
If 'Breaking Bad' has you convinced how awesome meth can be, put down the straight razor, take of your bowler hat, and watch this to learn what the reality of living that meth life is actually like.
Good morning. There are some incredible resources available to access during difficult times such as these. An amazing platform for mental health concerns is 'Togetherall". It is an anonymous online platform which enables participants to feel a sense of connection during difficult times. Togetherall Offers Its Members:... - A safe and vibrant online community where individuals remain anonymous to each other and can draw strength and insights from others that have real lived experiences. - Resources that are easily accessible and active 24/7/365, no formal referral needed. - Peace of mind knowing the community is clinically moderated by registered mental health practitioners who ensure individuals are kept safe and feel supported. - Access to additional self-assessments, recommended resources and self-guided courses to help foster positive mental health and wellbeing - Creative tools to help members express and track how they are feeling in a way that feels comfortable to them. If you need help setting up a simple, anonymous account, feel free to message the CHP- Hinton page or email me at [email protected] Below are some important provincial numbers too. Have a great day! It’s 2021 and over 17,000 Canadians have died by #overdose in the last 5 years. 2020 was the worst iteration of this crisis, where the collateral impacts of #CO...VID19 and ongoing failed drug policy collided. In 2021, let’s resolve to dismantle the drug war, #decriminalize, and implement a national #SafeSupply. We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.- Einstein Image from Street Health Overdose Prevention Site
Our Mission: To normalize what's now known as radical love and acceptance
We have been overwhelmed by the kindness of Hinton’s families this week as we collected donations of Christmas decorations for families in need. Due to the new covid restrictions, we have decided to make TODAY the final day we will accept donations at the Options office (10-2) so that we are able to store and sanitize items safely before giving them out. THIS FRIDAY we will have the items ready for collection.... If you would like to receive some donated items, we are inviting those in need to call or text the outreach phone on: 780 817 8976 and book a time between 10-2 to come and take your pick!!! Please share this with ANYONE who may benefit from a little extra joy this Christmas!
Options HIV West Yellowhead are hosting a Christmas decorations drive for families that don’t have them!! We have a HUGE wide corridor in our building and we were thinking we’d collect decorations (from whoever wants to donate) and then families could come and walk through the corridor (one-way, masked, socially distanced) and take what they need? Donations to be received by December 11th.... The drive will take place the following week - December 16th (so that we can safel...y store donations and sanitize appropriately). Please contact the office, or myself if you would like to donate, I am also happy to pick up! Thank you so much!
This beautiful photograph is up for auction. It would make a wonderful addition to any home or office and knowing that 100% of the proceeds are coming to the shelter. Please share this.
Finding out, that as someone living with HIV, once you’re undetectable, you also can’t transmit the virus.... that’s a big deal. It’s a HUGE deal. It’s a huge breakthrough in HIV science
We will be collecting the Toe-vember boxes, over the next couple of days..... the one in the mall is looking a little sad.... please please please donate socks, mits and toques if you are able for Hinton’s vulnerable xx
World Aids Day - December 1st . We will post a video each day outlining how Canadians are living with HIV every day.... Stay informed.
