Hope everyone is safe and keeping well. We just want to share some feedback and positive thoughts from our community regarding how we can help those in need during these critical times. There was a suggestion to raise some funds for groceries and supplies to support those who are newly arrived like students and new immigrants. Those new to Canada may be struggling to get through the day and acquire the necessary food and supplies. Executive committee agreed to help and suppor...t this initiative. We request all our members who can support this initiative please pledge by contacting one of the executives, then we can collect the pledge. We hope you all can support with your full heart and within your budget. With these funds, the committee will provide students and new families in need with non perishable food items and essential supplies. Non perishable items, supplies, or grocery store gift cards will be given (instead of giving money) to those who request support from an HMS executive, in order to avoid any conflicts of interest. Please respond, so we can move forward to extend our helping hand to those in need. If you or know anyone who is struggling due to Covid 19 Crisis, please let us know.
