This will be my first year I haven't attended a Remembrance Day service. My father was an airframe technician in the military and my father-in law was a veteran of both WW2 and Korea. Family, friends and customers serve our country in the Canadian Armed Forces and to all of them, past and present, I say thank you. Canadian men and women sacrificed their bodies, minds and lives for us. They lived and died in horror to save us, the least we can do is wear masks and wash our hands to save them. This year we do not have the honour of thanking you in person but please know we are forever grateful for your sacrifice in our hearts.

Manitoba has just gone to code red; we are open today but HM Surplus will be shutting down our storefront for the time being. We're open! Note: If you use your jack to help someone else, make sure you put your jack back in your car. But it's my anniversary today and I got to see my husband when he came to rescue me, so yay. My tire blew out so the store will be opening late. Sorry.

On October 20 and 22, 2014, two members of the CAF lost their lives in attacks on Canadian soil. Let's show that hatred never wins by keeping their memory alive.
