I am absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude!!!! I spent my day picking up your donations and aside from providing that family of 5 with essentials, I was able to shop for a complete turkey dinner for them, because of you!!! And on top of that I've got care bags and gift cards for them, all thanks to the wonderful people at Niagara Furniture Bank who spent the day assembling more than 300 of the care bags!!! And there's still more to come tomorrow! I am busy stuffing stockings and organizing the delivery for tomo and can't wait to show you everything that our community pulled together! Thank you thank you thank you!
There is a family of 5, 2 x 2 yr olds and 3 adults that could use a little help this Christmas and I'd like to put together a few things for them. Gifts for the kids and some food and basic supplies. If you can help please message me. Thank you thank you thank you!! We have this family well covered now....

This season your donations are needed more than ever. Niagara Falls let’s band together and show the people in our community in need what we can do. Please show up with you car full of non-perishable food items, new un-wrapped toys and winter clothing for all ages. We at the NFPFFA are dedicated to serving our great community both on and off duty but we can’t do it alone. We need your help. Thank you Sarah for your donation of nutrition drinks (and incontinence products that went to some seniors) for The Hope Chest!!! I'll stock it up daily!!!
This wonderful human Jack, heard about The Hope Chest and wanted to contribute so he sold some toys he'd outgrown, raised $75 and spent it all on toques and gloves for The Hope Chest!!! Pretty darn awesome!!! Thank you Jack!
It's back!!! The Hope Chest is once again located at Oakes Park, right across the street from the Out of the Cold Shelter that runs from 8pm to 7am daily at St. Andrew's Church. If you can, please fill The Hope Chest with (small) warm winter gear like, toques, mitts, scarves, gloves, hand warmers, socks, and even non perishable snacks like granola bars. And if you are in need of any of these items, please take only what you need. I'll be monitoring it daily and will post here what is needed. Please help spread the word and in turn warm gear.
Incredible news!

Here is an update on The Project Share Out of the Cold Shelter at St. Andrew's Church: The Shelter continues to remain open. Precautions have been taken to ensu...re social distancing at the shelter. Project SHARE is now providing meals to homeless at the shelter on a daily basis. Over the coming weeks Project SHARE is anticipating an increase in need for our services. Donations are still being accepted with much gratitude. There are a number of ways to donate. Food is needed and can be dropped off at the back door of Project SHARE. You can also help by making a monetary donation by calling (905) 357-5121 extension 27, providing your credit card number or by visiting our website at www.projectshare.ca/donate. Project SHARE can purchase food at bulk prices and your donations at this time will help us continue to feed the most vulnerable in our community. At this time Project SHARE is not accepting donations of household goods or clothing, due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. We will continue to monitor the unfolding situation and will act accordingly. -The Project SHARE Team
This is most certainly a concern among the shelter system....
We're collecting valuable data to inform homelessness policies and move toward an end to chronic homelessness in our communities. Visit our website to learn about the Point in Time Count and how you can volunteer. https://www.niagararegion.ca/social-ser/niagara-counts.aspx
