Hey beautiful , Don't be afraid of working on your #upperbody and giving it some love. You won't get bulky, it is very hard to build muscle! . We ladies tend to prefer to work on our lower body, and yes, I love leg day. However, we need a strong upper body for many reasons :... . Promotes and improves good posture, especially now that we're more sedentary and screen time has increased! . A strong upper body helps you perform better and increases your ability to perform other workouts. Many require a good base level of upper-body strength without having to modify and/or regress the movements. Even cyclists benefit from having strong shoulders due to having to position the top half of your body over the handle bars. If you have experience with cycling, you know that the arms and shoulders take a large impact during the ride. . You will increase your fat burning zone by improving your metabolism. The more muscle mass you have, the higher your resting metabolic rate will be. This means burning more calories when simply resting. Strength training unlike LISS causes you to continue the burn for up to 72 hours after you're done with your workout. . As we age, if we don't continue to strengthen our muscles, we lose muscle mass, starting at 30 years young! Moving as independently as possible is a goal of mine, along with preventing the aches and pains that are caused by muscle imbalances. . Of course a stronger Upper body helps to balance your physique. You will look and feel healthy and Fit . . I'm working on my strong shoulders for the Summer . How about you? See more
