Carbon fiber wheel tubs installed on project 56. Carbon supplied by Tim McAmis Performance Parts. All the mounts for the tubs are fabricated from 1/2 4130 tubing and are removable pieces. Carbon tubs extend all the way to the outside fenders for paint protection.

Project 56 finishing rear section of the SFI 25.2 4130 chassis build. If you look close you can see a 1 5/8 tube slip joint over the 1.5 rear section at the cab end. This is for final disassembly and assembly. When the body is ready to lift off for final chassis welding and powder coating, simply slide back the slip tube from the cab end and lift the body, bed and front off. After when body is placed back on the finished chassis slide the slip tube forward and tig weld 2 join...ts inside the cab and the 2 slider joints in box of the truck and then apply touch paint on those welds. The big question is why for most people looking at this. 1. The body is a original and in mint condition so we did not wanna cut up a rare beauty. 2. We are building a street legal driven truck that looks like a nice clean street rod but under neath it will be 6.0 1/4 mile 25.2 chassis with a blown 540 under the stock hood and a 4 speed that does not require rear bars through the cab. SFI 25.4 funny car cage area update is complete on this 64 Nova. The original was mostly removed and then updated here. When I do the funny car cages I always go full out on the safety and protection for the driver. Notice all tubes are 1.625 instead of SFI 1.5. Both roof bars are 1.5 tube instead of SFI single 3/4 and a single 1.5. All back braces are 1.625 instead of SFI 1.5. If you are building a funny car cage for driver protection then build it like a legal funny car cage for TA/FC. Robert Hollasch Dragzine.com @

Fabricated a 4130 25.1 driveshaft containment for Project 56. Step by step pics shows lot of time and effort that goes into the details from straight lengths of tubing to a finished project that few people ever notice. But when things go south with a drive shaft this can really save you from a serious injury Robert Hollasch

Fabricated a new wishbone for our project 56 as Cody Hollasch and myself decided we need a lot more power which in turn means a upgrade on some components. New wishbone is made with 1.25 X .065 4130 tubing with 3/4 shank 4130 rod ends with 1/2 attachment holes. First wishbone was made with 7/8 X .065 4130 with 1/2 shank 4130 rod ends. Robert Hollasch

One good thing about winter is it means more time for myself to get back to our father son project 56. Really excited for the day when the screw supercharged 540 with a triple disk B&J transmission fires up.
