Register your youths and teens to get in on this zoom meeting with our favorite local female athlete Julia " The Jewel" Budd, one of the top pound for pound female fighters on the planet REGISTER NOW BEFORE ITS TOO LATE . .We are living in a challenging era with COVID having impacting everyone. Martial Arts clubs and sports are facing some of the hardest times. Perhaps no...w more than ever there is a need for optimism and hope. Two amazing examples of optimism are well-known and highly decorated athletes are Julia Budd and Farinaz Lari. Julia is the first ever female BELLATOR MMA PRO Featherweight World Champion and Farinaz was the first female athlete from Iran to win a WAKO K1 World Championship. Both these amazing athletes have faced hurdles and have shown incredible perseverance to make history in their respective careers. Both continue to train, compete and also coach at their respective clubs. WAKO Canada is excited and proud to have them featured in our second National Youth Forum. The Forum is again focused on BUILDING RESILIENCE. This is an important time for all young people to show perseverance and know that what you are doing now will pay off when the world returns to normal. This ZOOM session is open to all young people (and those young at heart) from across Canada. The Forum will be held at 2 pm EST on Saturday December 12. I'm sad to say that we have been shut down AGAIN and have to wait until the new updated regulations are announced before we can continue any classes. . Im a little lost for words over the back and forth so hang tight everyone, this will all get sorted out soon enough #teamhkmma #*&^%covid

Reminder to all members If you are feeling sick in any way, DO NOT COME TO THE GYM * As per new regulations you MUST wear your mask upon entry to the gym, and until your temperature has been scanned.... . * Once inside, sanitize your hands and continue on to the mats. . * You may than remove your masks (Training with masks on is NOT required) . * once your training session is over, please wear your masks to gather your belongings and exit in a timely fashion so we can disinfect the training area before our next class. Everything else will remain the same as we were all ready following all safety guidelines set forth. Couple of more things to remember * Show up 5min before class time and ready to train. * Bring your own towel * Bring your own filled water bottle * Bathroom will be used only if its absolutely necessary. Well it looks like they are shutting us down again for another two weeks. This is very frustrating for everyone, considering all the effort we have put in to keeping our recent covid requirements up to par. We have been scanning Temps, mandatory hand sanitizing stations throughout the gym, separate entrance and exits for our members, plenty of fresh air blowing through the gym while we train, cleaning and sanitizing all equipment after each use, and keeping our class sizes ca...pped to have plenty of room for everyone to train. . We appreciate everyone one of our members, and would not be able to continue without each and everyone of your continuous support much . With that said, we will be in contact with our local health officer to discuss reopening to their new covid requirements and will hopefully have more info for everyone real soon.
