Planes have stopped, cars have stopped, the world as a whole has pretty much stopped and the CO2 levels have dropped! Yet the farmers havent stopped. Theyre still getting up to milk the cows, the lambing sheds are in full swing, the cattle are still being fed, the crops are being drilled, yet the CO2 has dropped. Maybe agriculture isnt quite as bad as the media have been making out .... maybe the world isnt going to end because of our livestock, maybe, just maybe, agricu...lture is actually going to be the thing to save everyone when this world needs feeding and we cannot import avacados, coconut milk and mangos from South America! ....eat local.eat fresh... They ran to the groceries, they filled up their carts, They emptied the Tops and Price Chopper and Walmart, They panicked and fought and then panicked some more..., Then they rushed to their homes and they locked all the doors. The food will be gone! The milk eggs and cheese! The yogurt! The apples! The green beans and peas! The stores have run out, now what will we do? Theyll be starving and looting and nothing to do! Then they paused, and they listened a moment or two. And they did hear a sound, rising over the fear, It started out far, then began to grow near. But this sound wasnt sad, nor was it new, The farms were still doing what farms always do. The food was still coming, though theyd emptied the shelves, The farms kept it coming, though they struggled themselves, Though the cities had forgotten from where their food came, The farms made them food every day, just the same. Through weather and critics and markets that fall, The farms kept on farming in spite of it all. They farmed without thank yous. They farmed without praise. They farmed on the hottest and coldest of days. Theyd bought all the food, yet the next day came more, And the people thought of something they hadnt before. Maybe food, they thought, doesnt come from a store. Maybe farmers, perhaps, mean a little bit more.

Customers feeling reservations about shopping/ordering inside can phone the store with their orders ahead of time to limit the length of person interactions. Cash customers are able to phone in their orders and prepay with a credit card. ... Holna staff will bring your order to your vehicle. Please call (902)863-2308. We have implemented sanitary precautions by cleaning and sanitizing our debit machine, counter tops, and door handles on a regular basis. We respectively ask that anyone experiencing any associated symptoms with COVID 19, not enter the store. We recognize that everyone is concerned about the welfare of the livestock and we will try to fill everyones needs. This not a time to Panic Buy, but we do recommend that you keep on hand a 14 day supply of feed. Holna Farm Services will continue to focus on keeping our employees healthy and to support our customers. We will remain diligent and adaptive as any further developments unfold with the COVID 19 status, policy and protocols.
