Please see the link below for an important message from the Nipissing Parry Sound Student Transportation Services. Transportation is scheduled to resume as usua...l on Monday, January 11, 2021. Importantly, NPSSTS advises students to please continue to practice good habits with regards to wearing masks while riding the bus, stating "...public health does not recommend ‘neck gaiters’, scarves, or balaclavas as an equivalent to, or substitute for a face covering..." http://www.npssts.ca//Communique%20-%202021-01-08.docx_dc.

HOLY CROSS CHRISTMAS FUNDRAISER---A Letter and order form will be sent home today with our students. There will be an option to pay with cash or by using school cash online. Farquhar’s Orchards Fresh Food Market GIFT CARD fundraiser program Dear Parents/Guardians/Families of Holy Cross School, ... Our Holy Cross Catholic School Advisory Council is raising funds for; Outdoor Play Equipment Technology For Student Use School Community CSAC Events Here’s how it works; Holy Cross School will keep $5 from every $25 gift card sale. For example, if a student sells 10 gift cards, there would be a fundraising profit of $50.00 Example: 10 cards sold x $5.00 per card profit = $50.00 raised for our school!!! ***Our Goal Is to Raise $500.00 for our school Each student/family receives a Sponsorship sign-up sheet to fill in (on the back of this sheet). They collect names, phone numbers and $25 cash for each card order. Once they have sold their gift cards, the money collected is returned to our school for counting and collecting. Our school then brings all the funds to Farquhar’s Orchards Fresh Food Market at 2621 Trout Lake Road (across from the Granite club) to redeem the gift cards. Our school retains $5.00 per card for our fundraiser. Please return your order form, and cash, to Holy Cross by Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the latest. ***School Cash Online will also be set up if you wish to place your order. Our school would then arrange for delivering the gift cards for each order during the week of December 7-11, 2020. For any further questions please contact our school at any time. Sincerely, Members of the Holy Cross CSAC

Holy Cross had a great Halloween celebration day today with lots of fun activities!!!

Holy Cross Catholic Elementary School 10.10.2020

Halloween at Holy Cross: We will be celebrating Halloween at our school on Friday, October 30. We will have our traditional Orange and Black Day. As this year’s Halloween will be different, some parents have respectfully asked if costumes could be considered. Our Health Unit has said it would be fine at this time if we continue to follow all our daily safety protocols. Students will not be permitted to bring treats to share with the class. Students will be permitted to either... wear orange and black or wear their costume to school. We do ask that you use caution if you are sending your child to school with a costume as it may be a tripping hazard. If wearing a costume, students are asked to come to school already wearing their costume and keep their costume on for the duration of the day. Costumes are not to include Halloween masks (a costume mask should not be worn over a face covering), weapons, props, or portray violence. Educators cannot help with applying makeup or fixing students' costumes. We ask our older students to keep in mind that we have younger students when choosing their costume. Students will still need to wear safety face masks as per the usual safety protocols. Wishing you all a safe and happy Halloween! See more
