From the Pastor October! Hard to believe how quickly the time is going by! October is the Month of the Holy Rosary. Our Holy Father Pope Francis again encourages Catholics throughout the world to pray the Rosary every day. And there are no shortages of intentions: marriages, families, children, sickness, addictions, loneliness, respect for all human life, the elderly and dying, peace in the world, and the list goes on. Join us before Holy Mass, both weekdays and weekends..., as we pray the Rosary.....And our new statue of Our Lady Mother Mary is ready to be blessed. I want to thank Joan Candelora for both the statues and grottoes in front of the Church. Joan is incredibly generous and she deserves to be acknowledged. Both statues really add to the beauty of our Church grounds. Following this Saturday’s 4:00pm Mass, Oct. 3rd, I will immediately bless the new statue. Please join us! A few people have asked about Religion classes this Fall. Due to the Covid Virus still being a reality, one which calls for all of us to remain vigilant, there will be no organized religion classes until the foreseeable and safe future. However, if any parents (and only parents) really do want their children to receive their First Confession and First Holy Communion, please contact me at the glebehouse and perhaps we can arrange for you to teach them at home. Confirmation will have to wait until next year when the Bishop can come to the parish. For baptisms please call the glebehouse to arrange a date. Mass Time Change: Due to the weather forecast, I think it might be wiser if we have tomorrow’s Mass (Wednesday) at 6pm. It is the Feast of St. Padre Pio. Please join us.

From the Pastor As I prepare to send these few words to you, we are awaiting the start of some messy weather with possible high winds and plenty of rain. Stay safe: if you don’t have to leave the house don’t. Don’t risk your safety for a bag of chips! You probably already have plenty of food in the refrigerator and this will soon be overThis Sunday, Sept. 27th, our 11am mass will be live-streamed for those who can’t join us in Church.... This weekend, the Church throughout the world remembers all Migrants and Refugees. Many people are in such a difficult situation in the lands of their birth, often because of wars, persecution for their faith and lack of job opportunities, that they make incredible efforts to come to countries like Canada where they and their children can live in peace and prosperity. Many of our own ancestors were refugees. So let us welcome those who come from distant shores. Let us show them the face and voice of Jesus Christ. Next week we celebrate some beautiful feast days: Tuesday is the Feast of the Archangels Saints Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. Thursday is the Feast of St. Therese of the Child Jesus and Friday is the feast of the Guardian Angels. I hope many of you will join us during the week for Mass.
